2.2 MATERIALS
- Curing compound on concrete 24 to 72 hours after initial set of concrete.
- Two-component, fluid applied, single-coat, 100% reactive solids, zero VOC emissions Specification epoxy-curing compound.
1) Must conform to and pass ASTM C1315-11.
2) Must conform to and pass ASTM C309.
3) ASTM D7234; 100% cohesive failure within LEED (ASTM C39) concrete.
Slab Protection System:
- Must have compressive strength of 14,500 minimum @ 7 days.
- ASTM D2240; Shore D hardness of 82 (minimum)
- Must be highly chemically resistant upon full cure.
Vapor Reduction System:
- Two-component, fluid applied, single-coat, 100% reactive solids, zero VOC emissions epoxy-based sealant.
- Application of vapor reduction system shall maintain tolerances with below performance requirements after application:
1) Tested per ASTM E96-12 (wet method).
2) Must conform to a tested perm rating: < .1 net perms (grains h-1 ft-2 in Hg-1), Compliant to ASTM 3010-13.
3) Alkalinity resistance of 14 pH sustained; ASTM F710: 100% tolerant.
4) Relative Humidity Rates: ASTM F2170; 100% RH tolerant.
- Base Products:
1) AC•Tech 2170 FC™; 4 – hour cure by AC•Tech.
2) Other manufacturers desiring approval comply with appropriate Section (Substitution Request).
